After successful take on terrorism in movie Khuda ke liye here director Shoiab mansoor comes with movie Bol on sensitive issue of mankind and with a serious social message.
Story: Bol is the story of Hakeem Sahib, who resides in Lahore and has 14 children in total, but out of them- only seven daughters and a son survive. He hates everyone and uses religion to control them. The house is always threatened by the father, either through religion or by force. Eventually his daughter decides to voice out her opinion and when all her attempts fail she happens to kill her father. The killing brings her on the verge of being hanged. Eventually she is hanged, but leaves people with few questions in their minds, the most important one being ‘if you cannot feed your children, why do you give a birth to them?’
After a lot of heard about movie we have gone to watch it with lots of expectations and movie lived to all the expectation as its story and acting was truly bestest But over all movie was not as best as Khuda ke liye.
Story is very strong and screenplay was also best. Of course when movies go on social issues it have been liked more but become somewhat boring also but some movies leave mark on you and this movie is on of that movie kinda. All credits goes to Director Shoaib Mansoor.
In Acting part, Humaima Malick has done excellent work as an eldest daughter and makes movie remarkable with her acting. And secondly Manzar Zehbai who lived a father’s character very well. Aatif aslam’s role is too small but that was good as his acting was worst.
Overall I can say movie takes on many social issues but with effective and not by boring way. Movie lives on all’s expectations and leaves a very sensible question behind on everyone's mind.
My rating – 3.45/5
(People who likes messaging movie will like it more. Don’t go if you are going to see Aatif as an actor plz...)
thanks for review.
